The former Merloni industrial site and the adjacent former Torelli quarry offer the opportunity to work on a multi-scalar project. From the urban, to the neighbourhood, up to the building scale.
The project set itself the goal of designing new spaces for the community such as an agro-landscape park and a new urban promenade, which would act as a link between the centre and the more rural outskirts of the city of Rovereto.
Addition and subtraction operations were carried out on the main building shaped of five barrel-vaulted naves. Particular attention was paid to the choice of materials and their relationship with the existing artefact and the city of Rovereto.
